在描述某物的位置时，我们会用到表示地点的介词，其中有的介词具有明确的含义：
In在……里面
On在……上面
Under在……下面
Next to在……旁边
Behind在……后面
In front of在……前面
Between在……之间
Above在……上方
但也有一些用法复杂、容易混淆的介词。比如，为什么 “in Germany（在德国）” 要用介词 “in” 而 “at the airport（在机场）” 要用介词 “at”？这个问题的答案并不简单。通常，我们可以这样区分：
“In” 用于表示面积更大、泛指的空间。
The dogs are in the park. 狗在公园里。
My cousin lives in Germany. 我的表亲居住在德国。
My house is in the countryside. 我的房子在乡下。
I wouldn't like to live in space. 我不想要住在太空中。
“At” 用于表示进行特定活动的地点。
We met at a party. 我们是在一场聚会上认识的。
They are at the supermarket. 他们在超市。
The children are at school. 孩子们在学校。
They've arrived at the airport. 他们已经来到机场了。
但是，也有一些特定搭配，比如：
“in the shopping centre（在购物中心）” 和 “at the supermarket（在超市）”
“in the house” 和 “at home” 都可以表示 “在家里”
“in the office” 和 “at work” 都可以表示 “在工作”

当我们在学习新的描述地点的名词时，不要只记单词本身，而要同时记下和它们搭配的介词，比如 “in the supermarket（在超市）”、“at home（在家）”、“in Asia（在亚洲）”、“at work（在工作）” 等等。
